Ducts that collect PANCREATIC JUICE from the PANCREAS and supply it to the DUODENUM.
The accessory pancreatic duct is the smaller of the two pancreatic ducts. It usually drains into the main pancreatic duct, however in some cases it is found connected directly to the DUODENUM at the minor duodenal papilla.
The minor duodenal papilla (when present) connects the accessory pancreatic duct to the DUODENUM.
The main pancreatic duct is the larger of the two pancreatic ducts. It transverses through the body of the PANCREAS and opens into the duodenum at the major duodenal papilla.
