One of two branches of the lateral fissure at its posterior terminus identified by dissection in the human. The other is the terminal descending limb of the lateral fissure ( Ono-1990 ). It is not found in the macaque ( Martin-2000 ), the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) or the mouse ( Hof-2000 ). [ NeuroNames:104 ]
